Description

Document the registration of property for identification in case of theft, loss, or burglary. Property includes but is not limited to bicycles, devices (computer laptops), televisions, cameras, stereos, and guns. Information may include name, address, and phone number of owner, date, description of property, serial number, and related data. Does not include Project 529 or other preventive programs managed by Transportation.

Retention and Disposal Instructions

As soon as administrative use ceases, purge.

Exception: In the event of a subpoena, audit, legal hold, public records or similar state or federal information request, halt until further instructed any scheduled disposal activities, including purging or transferring material to University Archives.
